Lindauer Hütte at 1,744 m
Schruns-Tschagguns
A popular destination for hikers, climbers, ski tourers and tobogganers
On the way up to the Lindauer Chalet (1,744 m), your gaze is constantly drawn to the impressive limestone peaks of the Drusenfluh, Drei Türmen and the Sulzfluh which make the horizon on the far end of the Gauertal look like shark fins. The mountain hut, which was resigned in 2017, can be reached by an easy walk of two to two and a half hours through the Gauertal. In the summer you can also take the themed trail Gauertaler AlpkulTour starting at the summit station of the Golmerbahn.
The fantastic mountain backdrop of the Rätikon is a popular destination for hikers and ski tourers at any time of year, as it is also very pleasant in the winter to traverse along the cleared paths. Excursions could hardly be more enjoyable when there are savoury chalet delicacies and a superb view waiting for you at the destination.
It is one of the most popular chalets of the region with 160 beds.
Special feature: Botanical alpine garden
On the west side of the chalet, bounded by a wall and a high fence, the alpine club maintains a botanical alpine garden. With around 600 different plant species, the large area of 1,900 m² is a real botanical gem. The main flowering season goes from the middle of June to the end of July. Admission is free.
Summer: Starting point for unforgettable hikes, the only alpine garden in Vorarlberg
Winter: Organised winter hiking trail in one of the most beautiful alpine valleys; starting point for ski tours
Walking time approx. 2.5 hrs., be sure to bring your toboggan in winter
